Objective
All the CSC's will be able to provide the
services following in respect of any
ward or area in the jurisdiction of BBMP
which will make it possible for citizens
to access these services without having
to go to different offices of BBMP to
meet specific authorities.
The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike expects
that these services will become popular
with the citizens as different services
of BBMP are provided in these centres in
a time bound manner and in one place. It
is also expected that these centres will
go a long way in improving the
efficiency of BBMP's services and reduce
scope for malpractices.

Property Tax
Payment
Citizens of Bengaluru can pay property tax in
any one of these centres irrespective of the
ward in which the property is located. The
property details of all the 5.38 lakh properties
which already have been provided with a Khata
are computerised and can be accessed on line by
any one of these centres. The computerised
counters will give information on the tax dues
of any property within a matter of a few seconds
and generate an official receipt immediately on
payment of the tax by cash/cheque or demand
draft. The citizens are advised to carry with
them an old tax paid receipt or Khata
certificate or any such document issued by the
BBMP in respect of their property to enable quick
tracking of the property on the computer for
faster transactions. However, the counters will
be able to accept property tax and issue receipt
even without such documentation after a few
minutes of search of the data base.
Khatha
Registration
Citizens can obtain their
applications for registration or transfer of
Khata of any property at the CSC Counters.
Also BBMP guarantees
registration/change/amalgamation/bifurcation of
Khata within a period of 7 days subject to the
proposed change being legally permitted. The
status of the application can also be
ascertained on line from time to time through
the BBMP network. This is expected to do away
with the need for the citizens going to the
concerned revenue offices of the BBMP several
times for effecting any change of Khata.
Birth/Death
Certificates
The CSCs are able to issue
births and death certificates of any year
between 1949 and 2002. The certificates relating
to births and deaths for the immediate period of
10 years between 1993 and 2002 are issued across
the counter in a few minutes while the
certificates relating to earlier periods can be
made available within 24 hours. These documents
can also be sent by courier to the citizens for
a small extra fee of Rs.10. Applications for
registration of births and deaths and issue of
certificates for the year 2003 are also received
in the CSCs. The registration of births and
deaths during the current year can also be made
in the offices of Medical Officers of Health (MOH)
who are designated as sub-registrars for the
purpose.
Public
Grievances
The CSCs also receive
citizens complaints/suggestions/requests in
respect of any services provided by the
Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike in each case the
counters will issue a valid acknowledgement and
forward the complaints to the appropriate
officers of BBMP for being attended to on
priority.
A new improved Public Grievance & Redressal
module is being implemented and launched on Sept
15th 2006, the details of which are available
here. |
