TEN STEPS TO FILE AN APPLICATION FOR REGULARIZATION


 

Step I
Purchase a handbook for regularization from any of the, Bengaluru One centres, Post offices or Apex banks. Applications for respective violations are pinned to the handbook.
Step II
The application for regularization must be applied in Form 1. Form I has three parts. Part I is the yellow application form for applying for regularization of unauthorized layout and plots in both converted and non-converted layouts. Part II is the pink application form for applying for change in land use. Part III is the green application form for applying for building violations. You need to fill the appropriate Part or Parts for the violations that you want to regularize.
Step III
Read the FAQ and other details in the hand book. This will help you in understand the norms prescribed for regularization and also will help you in filling up the relevant part of the application. Study the worked examples calculating the regularization fee payable for various violations, before calculating the your fee payable in the working sheet
Step IV
If need be you may take the help of an Architect/engineer in filling up the application. Being qualified they will guide you in filling the application form and help you calculate the regularization fee payable.
Step V
If the building has more than 2 floors a structural engineer has to certify that the building is safe.
Step VI
Purchase demand draft for the regularization from any of the scheduled banks in favor of Commissioner, Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike. The number of demand drafts to be purchased is mentioned in the application in Part I, and Part III. Depending on the regularization sought for you will have to purchase the Demand draft.
Step VII
In case you are applying for regularization of land use in Part II of the application form, you need to take three separate Demand Draft in favour of the Commissioner BDA, one for publication, the second one towards scrutiny fee and the third one for regularization fee.
Step VIII
The application contains a list of documents to be enclosed. Make sure they are enclosed along with all the demand drafts.
Step IX
Hand over the filled up application forms at the centers specified in the handbook at Centre for selling & receiving applications Before you hand over the application at the centers make sure that you have made a Photostat copy of your filled up application for your records.
Step X
Fill up the acknowledge and checklist form at (download) ticking the list of documents enclosed and the different demand drafts for the respective regularization fee and scrutiny fee. At the receiving centers the officer concerned will examine if these documents are enclosed and will acknowledge the receipt. Retain this acknowledgement safely. You are also requested to fill up the Appendix - C, Brief details of Applications and sign the same. Please file only photocopies of all documents self attested. Do not enclose original documemt.
