 Property Tax Management

Bruhat Bengaluru Mahangara Palike Revenue department has computerized its property tax collection and digitized all the assessment registers and DCB registers. The eGov Property system has been collecting property tax and offering computer receipts in Bengaluru for more than 2years in the 30 ARO offices, 4 Citizen Service Bureaus and  Bengaluru One centers throughout the city. The eGov Property system also provides Khatha Certificates and Khatha Extracts.

The BBMP has assigned a property ID number (PID) that is a unique number for each property in the city, this PID consists of the Ward number, Street number and the door number of the property. Using the links below you can find out your property's PID as well as its property tax details.

eGov Property - New Feature and Facilities Planned

In the coming months the eGov Property tax system that is running at BBMP is going to be enhanced in a number of ways.

  • PDA/Handheld collections of property tax on the field will be automatically synchronized with the backend eGov Property system in order to have up-to-date information of the latest collections.

  • The DCB statements for each property will be printed and sent to citizens so that the existing records can be verified.

  • Credit Card payments over internet of property tax will be introduced so that citizens need not go to BBMP offices to pay their property tax.

  • A citizen's real-time interface to the eGov Property system will be launched on the BBMP website that will provided - so that if you paid your property tax and a few of minutes later were to check the status of your property's tax it should reflect the latest payment.

  • eGov Property system will be tightly integrated to the eGov Financials (accrual based accounting system) as soon as eGov Financials is operational. This will enable nightly automatic updates to BBMP accounting for property tax as well as other forms of revenue.

  • There is an ambitious plan to link each property record to the GIS cadastral system that is being created at BBMP. Although this is a laborious process that involves ground survey and verification, this eGov Property integrated with GIS will be launched ward by ward as soon as the GIS data becomes available with appropriate Property ID linkages. Citizens should be able to locate their Ward, Street and Property online and check property details as well as taxation details.
